Integrated Massage

Integrated massage employs a variety of techniques to meet your requests and goals for a particular session or a series of sessions. This therapeutic method combines various principles of massage, typically incorporating physical, mental, emotional and spiritual dimensions. Integrated massage is focused on supporting a holistic mind-body approach to well-being. Rather than performing a massage that simply feels good, we use the integrated massage in Incline Village with hopes to provide tangible health benefits. Even if relaxation is the main goal, we want to supply relaxation in ways that allow you to enjoy benefits well after your session has concluded. These benefits may include a clear head, an improved perspective, minimized pain, reduced stress and increased flexibility.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage focuses on relaxing the entire body, using specific types of strokes that are meant to direct blood back to the heart. Typically given in 60 or 90-minute sessions, the gentle but firm pressure of a Swedish massage promotes revitalization and wellness. Based on your goals for the session, we’ll use our time to work the muscle tissues to achieve the desired results. In a Swedish massage, the movements and strokes are meant to warm up the muscle tissue, which helps to release tension and slowly break up “knots.” While a Swedish massage in Incline Village promotes relaxation, it also aims to result in a variety of health benefits that are reminiscent of therapeutic massage.

Zero Balancing

Developed by Dr. Fritz Frederick Smith in the 1970s, Zero Balancing engages structure and energy with a conscious touch that aligns the body and mind. Zero Balancing works with bones, energy meridians and energy fields to remove discomfort and energy disruptions, allowing you to feel more centered. Clients who we’ve worked with in this modality report feelings of balance, increased connection between mind, body and spirit and the ability to function at a higher state of wellness. The effects of Zero Balancing in Incline Village can evolve during the days following a session. It is truly an exceptional modality with the potential for inspiring wellness at the highest levels. This work is done fully clothed and in a supine (face-up) position.

Deep Tissue

This technique works by physically breaking down adhesions (“knots”) to relieve pain and restore normal movement in the body. Deep tissue massage is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas of your body such as a stiff neck, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Deep tissue massage can also break up and even eliminate scar tissue that has accumulated as the result of previous injuries. Stressed or previously injured muscles can inhibit nutrients from getting to their destination, which can cause inflammation and the build up of toxins in muscle tissue. Deep tissue massage in Incline Village aims to address these issues. Opposed to Swedish massage, the movements are slower, and the pressure is deeper and more concentrated on areas of tension and pain.

Sport Massage/Stretching

Sports massage uses specific techniques to aid blood circulation, pain reduction and range of motion. The goal is to relax contracted muscles, increasing circulation and lymphatic drainage. Sports massage in Incline Village is commonly used by athletes who want to prepare their bodies for optimal performance or assist healing after a big event or injury. However, a common myth is that sports massage is only for athletes; it’s not. Sports massage is beneficial to anyone who has chronic pain, injuries or restricted range of motion. Active Isolated Stretching and [Apex Stretching Technique], our primary method of muscle lengthening and fascial release, provide effective, facilitated stretching of major muscle groups. These techniques provide functional and physiological restoration of superficial and deep fascial planes.

Myofacial Release

Myofascial Release is a very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue to eliminate restrictions and pain to restore motion. Through life, the fibers and fascia surrounding muscles can become short and tight, causing uneven stress, pressure and tightness in areas throughout the body. Sometimes these short and tight fibers can be at the exact spot of an injury and sometimes they can be far from the original injury. The gentle, sustained, slow stretch of the fascia through myofascial release and unwinding in Incline Village relaxes the muscles and fascia, releasing tightness and pressure throughout the body.

Raindrop Therapy

Raindrop Therapy is a form of aromatherapy combined with traditional massage practices that uses nine therapeutic oils to balance the body and clear and re-align energy centers. This technique, developed by Dr. Gary Young, expert in the art and science of aromatherapy, combines Lakota wisdom with the latest in essential oil research. The oils used in Raindrop Therapy in Incline Village support all systems in the body and can be used to help provide relief for a variety of ailments, including migraines, fatigue, bone and muscle discomfort, joint discomfort, poor circulation and upper respiratory conditions. The technique is designed to be gentle but we’ve found that using the Raindrop oils also works quite well as a basis for deeper massage techniques, as the combination balances physical, mental, and emotional levels.

Reiki

Originating in Japan in the 1920s, Reiki uses the Universal Life Force energy, something we all have, for stress reduction and relaxation, which in turn also promotes healing and helps achieve balance. The intention of this gentle energy work is to create deep relaxation, help speed healing, reduce pain and decrease other symptoms. Unlike many other techniques, the practice of Reiki in Incline Village does not involve physical manipulation or require the application of any substances. Instead, Reiki works with the subtle vibrational field that surrounds the body. As a Reiki Master, Denne allows the Reiki energy to infuse through other techniques being used.
